Consumer Report for Eligible Training Providers for
Individual Training Accounts for the Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
The Consumer Report for Eligible Training Providers for Individual
Training Accounts (ITAs) can be found via the Internet. All of the
Consumer Report information can be found at OhioWorks.com except
for the Training Provider Performance Data.
The data on the Consumer Report is data as reported by the institutions
and has not been edited by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
To access the data available on this site enter into your browser,
Select the "Information on Service Providers" button on the home
page, Select the "Training Providers" from the Service Provider
menu on the left, which will bring you to the Training Provider Search
page.
This page will allow you to search for Training Providers in many
different ways. You may search by "Program Type" that includes a
menu of types of program that are selected by clicking on the arrow on the
right and scrolling down until you click on the program you are interested
in. You can also search by School Name, School Type, City, Zip Code,
Classification of Instruction Programs (CIP) codes.
You can organize your search results by School Name, City, Zip Code,
Program, CIP code and County. This is done by pressing the arrow to the
right of the "Order by" box. You can also limit your search to
institutions that meet certain criteria including: Accredited, Job
Placement Available, Vocational Counseling Available, Child Care, VA
Approved, WIA Approved, Assessment Services Available or Financial Aid
Available.
To complete your search, select the purple Search tab and a new page
will be displayed that lists all of the training providers that meet the
search requirements you outlined. Information regarding the city and
county where the school is located and the type of institution is
displayed.
If you want to know more information about any training provider, click
on the name of the training provider. This will load another page with
more specific information about that provider. The type of information
that is available includes: a map and directions to the institution;
address, phone number and contact person; accreditation; if the training
provider is WIA approved; type of institution; type of attainments
possible; tuition and financial aid availability; list of programs
provided; and whether the program is WIA approved.
More specific information is available on the programs listed simply by
clicking on the program name. The program information includes: address,
phone number of institution, map and directions; program length in weeks
and hours; entrance requirements; attainment at completion; WIA approval
status; curriculum competency based; days and hours per week class meets;
program start and end dates; program available on a continuous basis;
tuition and financial aid availability; refund policy; cost of program and
related items; accreditation; nontraditional program for women; the type
of employment and possible wages that might be available to an individual
who completes the program.

programs you need to go to Training
Provider Performance Data ,
which accompanies this document in the WIA Implementation section
of this web site. You can locate the training institution by alphabet and
their approved programs are listed under the institution.
